Tom Antonellis was born in Waltham, Massachusetts. Tom graduated Waltham Vocational High School in 1975 and promptly opened “Carpentry by Tom Antonellis” which is now celebrating its 34th year of business. Tom joined cub scouting in 1963 and was active in Boy Scouting for most of his life to this date. In 1975 he was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout and has upheld the honor by demonstrating “service and leadership” in every part of his life. In 1981 Tom, along with his wife, Laurie, built a home in Wayland. He and Laurie raised two children there, Cori and David, and became active members of the community. Tom and Laurie now live in Norfolk where they have begun supporting their new community as well as Wayland.

Tom supports Wayland baseball, volunteers as a set builder for Wayland Middle School Drama, volunteers in the Wayland Outdoor Education program (and has gone on over 100 trips with this program,) and has sponsored the Wayland Youth Fishing Derby since 1989. Tom has been involved with Cub Scout Pack 88 Wayland for more than a decade. He has served as a Den Leader, Pack Committee Chair and is now the Charter Representative for the Pack. In addition to his devotion to community projects, Tom has found several other ways to volunteer his time and talents. Tom has been involved with Rebuilding Together Boston since 1999, first as a volunteer, then as a member and then Chair of the Board of Directors, and currently as the Chair of the Site Selection Committee. In 2006, 2007 and 2008 participated in the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation’s AIDS Walk Africa. Tom participated in this five day walk through Tanzania and Swaziland, met the people who are directly affected by the Foundation’s life saving programs, and raised more than $65,000 in donations to support those programs.
